It occurs to me that I’ve not been doing my food log “properly.” Even before the start of my decade-long bout of on-and-off diarrhea, I never had enough meat on me for the thought of dieting to even cross my mind. So I haven’t done Weight Watchers, or any of the similar programs that give step-by-step instructions on how to monitor one’s food intake.
That said, I’m guessing that writing vague remembrances of food past doesn’t cut the mustard. Presumably one should at least take a stab at listing the time of day the food was eaten, along with some portion information. So here I go, starting now.
And to make sure I don’t psyche myself out of keeping up with this, I’m going to hold all editorial comments and/or guilty explanations of why I decided to…I don’t know, eat a pint of ice cream followed by a leftover baby back rib and 3 Jelly Bellies. Not that I plan to eat that…wait, no more editorializing. Here goes:
